To showcase its offering and provide clients with fantastic banking facilities, Skipton Building Society sought Lodestone Project’s help for a full refurbishment of its flagship Skipton branch.
Based on our longstanding partnership, which extends over a decade, Lodestone’s team was appointed to deliver the fit out.
One of the key challenges related to logistics, with the fit out taking place in the hugely popular market town of Skipton.
Deliveries and collections had to be booked and coordinated to avoid clashes with market days and town centre events, before being managed to ensure materials and waste could be safely moved without risk to pedestrians and businesses.
The town centre is noise sensitive. This meant that, to avoid disruption, noisy works could only be undertaken at set times.
The coordination and integration of the design was also paramount to the success of the project, with bespoke joinery, glazed screens, and services all closely interfacing.
Our team helped design workshops attended by all key supply chain partners and the project’s architect, rapidly co-ordinating all design packages. This allowed for the timely procurement of all items to facilitate an on-time completion, and a stunning, snag-free end product for Skipton Building Society.
The project was delivered on time with zero snags at handover. There were no health and safety incidents throughout the project, no disruption to local businesses or market days, and no complaints received.
